St. Andrew & St. Margaret of Scotland needs a new organ.
St. Andrew & St. Margaret of Scotland needs a new organ. Our organ is over 25 years old and showing it. The last time our organ was repaired (a costly expense), the technician said it was not worth repairing again. The organ continues to have problems; however our talented and gifted organist can only do so much to cover up the issues.
After reviewing multiple options, a quality organ offering modern technology and three manuals (AKA keyboards) will cost $90,000. This cost includes installed delivery, new wiring, speakers, and generous trade in value for the retired organ.
Thanks to the generosity of parishioners including clergy, over $51,000 has already been raised so a contract may be signed to start the building of a new organ — a 16-week process.
More good news is that a parishioner has pledged an additional $5,000 toward the remaining cost. We are off to a great start!
